Annual Regional Awards Competition: Call for Entries!
Award Entries due Friday, April 17, 2026
Call for Awards Submissions:
We invite you to participate in the Award Competition.
- Awards Entries are due April 17, 2026 via email to info@dbia-midatlantic.org
- Winners receive one complimentary registration to the Awards Dinner.
- Winners will be notified by late June 2026.
Eligible Design-Build Project Requirements:
- The project was completed within the last three years (after March 31, 2023).
- Completed under a single point of responsibility contract
- Completed on or ahead of schedule
- Completed within budget
- Completed with no claims, litigation, or fatalities
- Project met or exceeded owner expectations
- Project is located within the DBIA Mid-Atlantic Region (DC, MD, and VA)
- “Small Project Award”
- “Award of Merit”
- “Award of Excellence”
- “Project of the Year” will be selected from the Award of Excellence recipients
- “Best in Teaming”
- “Best in Process”
- “Best in Design Excellence” - Architecture and or Engineering
- “Outstanding Owners Award”

Award Submission Fees:
Owner Awards:DBIA Member Fee: $100
Non-Member Fee: $175
Project/Team Awards:
DBIA Member Fee: $375
Non-Member Fee: $575
Our Judging Timeline:
- Judges must volunteer by Wednesday, March 11, 2026
- Judges will be selected by Monday, March 16, 2026
- Judges will receive Judging Packets around Friday, March 20, 2026
- Awards Entries are due on Friday, April 17, 2026
- Entries and scoring sheets to be distributed to Judges by Wednesday, April 22, 2026
- Judges Scoring Sheets are due on Friday, May 8, 2026
- Judges Conference will be on Friday, May 15, 2026, to discuss/determine the winners.
