Committees
DBIA-Mid-Atlantic Committees
All committees and coordinators/leads will work with the Officers on the Board of Directors as well as the Regional Executive Director. Additional DBIA‐MAR member volunteers are welcome and needed to work on many of the Committees, please see the Committee Chair or Region President if you are interested in joining a committee.
| Membership Committee |
- Maintain an active roster of all Region contacts and members
- Actively solicit membership at all Region functions

| Programs Committee |
- Maintain an active Program Calendar
- Identify Program Venues, Dates and Times
- Work with Professional Association Coordinator to identify common areas of interest for potential joint events with sister Organizations
- Work with Programs Committee to make sure all our Regional Programs will be recognized by National for contact hour credits towards Designation requirements

| Annual Awards Committee |
- Encourage award applications for DBIA-MAR Regional Design Excellence Awards
- Identify Judges and seat a jury for award submission evaluation
- Provide feedback to all award applicants on ways to improve their applications in event they choose to submit at National Level competition

| Student Outreach Committee |
- Working with DBIA George Mason University and Virginia Tech
- Identify additional local Universities that may have students interested in becoming involved or starting their own Chapter
- Identify at least two Programs specifically for the student members
- Recruit local students to serve as volunteers at two National conferences.

| Annual Golf Outing Committee |
- Work with Programs Committee to Identify Venue for Annual Golf Networking Event
- Work with committee to sell Sponsorships to event for funding Charitable Events Program
